Why use an architect?

All too often, people go ahead with costly building work and miss valuable opportunities to add value that an architect could have guided them with.  Light and space are the most important commodities in any building, particularly a home, and poorly thought out building work can often make a space feel gloomy or badly planned. This is where a fully qualified chartered architect comes in.

To be entitled to use the title of Architect at all, an individual must be registered with the ARB (Architects Registration Board) who check that applicants have had a minimum of seven years RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) approved training. Companies styling themselves as ‘architectural consultants’ or ‘architectural designers’ are not architects and may not necessarily have any formal qualifications.

By using a fully qualified ARB registered and RIBA chartered architect like Hampshire Architect, you can rest assured that your architect is fully trained in design and construction, that they have adequate insurance and that they will act honourably in line with the ARB and RIBA codes of conduct.   These codes ensure that architects maintain adequate professional indemnity insurance and that they update their training to remain current with regulations, technology and environmental issues.
